Klaus Frueh, Ph.D., has served as a member of our board of directors since September 2016. As our co-founder, Dr. Frueh also serves as a consultant to us since June 2016. Dr. Frueh is professor for molecular microbiology and immunology at the Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute of Oregon Health & Science University since 2000. From March 2011 to September 2016, Dr. Frueh also served as President and Chief Scientific Officer of TomegaVax, Inc., a biotechnology company which we acquired in September 2016. From 1994 to 2000 he was a Senior and then Principal Scientist for Johnson & Johnson, and from 1991 to 1994, a Postdoctoral Scientist at The Scripps Research Institute. Dr. Frueh received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Heidelberg in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
