Carolyn Wang

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

Carolyn Wang serves as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications. She leads external and internal communications, corporate branding and public affairs. Ms. Wang brings more than 25 years of healthcare communications experience working with companies that are transforming drug development and patient care.

Prior to joining Vir Biotechnology in November 2025, she was Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Communications at Ultragenyx, a biotech company specializing in therapies for rare genetic diseases. There, she built the company’s corporate communications function and established the corporate sustainability strategy. Previously, Ms. Wang led communications and marketing at Verily, an Alphabet company, where she was a member of the executive team. Earlier in her career, Ms. Wang spent more than a decade at Real Chemistry, an integrated agency, where she helped grow the firm from its inception to an international leader in healthcare communications.

Ms. Wang has a B.S. in biology from Elon University. She currently serves on the board of the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health.
