Sung Lee

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Sung Lee has served as Vir’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since March 2023. Mr. Lee is an experienced CFO with more than 20 years of finance leadership expertise in biopharmaceutical and technology businesses, and a track record of driving financial performance, scaling global operations and leading large teams.

He began his career in the tax advisory business at PwC, and later spent 14 years at Gilead Sciences, Inc., where he served in roles of increasing responsibility and scope, ultimately leading the Company’s global financial planning and analysis, and investor relations functions. Prior to Vir, Mr. Lee served as CFO and Management Board Member of MorphoSys AG and CFO of Sangamo Therapeutics.

Mr. Lee received a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Irvine and a Masters degree in business taxation from the University of Southern California.
